Adrian Lazo at Buena Suerte Tattoo

Ten miles east of Rio Grande River is the South Texas tattoo shop, Buena Suerte.  Current owner Adrian Lazo has been there for over ten years and tattooing for over 17 years.  Specializing in black and grey, but open to many other styles, Adrian has an extraordinary attention to detail and shading with his tattoos and free hand drawings on clients skin.  Since birth, art has been Adrian’s focus and passion, leading him to a career in tattooing beginning at an age of 14.  Adrian found means through his make shift surroundings as a child – building his own machines and burning and mixing his own inks. This may be why he gravitates to black and grey to this day…

It was his tattooed covered uncle that visually inspired him further, pushing him towards his dream of making tattooing a career. Rather then just getting tattooed, Adrian wanted to be the artist tattooing and eventually own his own shop. That dream came true at Buena Suerte just a few years ago after his purchase from previous owner Eddie Gomez in 2013.

When Adrian is not tattooing you can find him in his metal shop building machines and playing with coils.  His focus and professionalism is infectious. He has dedicated his life to the art of tattooing and listened to no-one but the voice inside of him – telling him that you can and you will – and he did!

Additional artists at Buena Suerte include Ceci, Neo-traditional and Illustrative and Jamison, Traditional and Japanese. For more information on these artists and their portfolios visit: buenasuertetattoo.com  or  houseink.com/buena-suerte (coming soon…)
